Homeopathy is an art and science developed by a German physician, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, in the late 1700’s.
Homeopathy is a natural therapy that stimulates the innate self-healing power of nature in each patient and is safe.
The word Homeopathy comes from two Greek roots, homoios meaning “similar,” and pathos meaning, “disease.” Homeopathy consists of treating sick people with remedies that, in crude doses, would produce in healthy people symptoms similar (homoios) to those of the disease needing to be overcome. This is the Law of Similars, a core concept of this medical philosophy and practice.
Homeopathy uses very small doses of medicines, called remedies. The original substance (the Mother tincture) is diluted in liquid repeatedly, and vigorously shaken with each dilution. These remedies are prepared from substances found in nature, like plants, animal or mineral substances to promote healing at the emotional as well as physical levels. The healing properties of the original substance are passed down onto the diluted liquid and are ultimately transferred to blank pellets. This is what you normally see as a homeopathic remedy in the stores.
Homeopathic remedies can be used safely and effectively in children, pregnancy and elderly. They are free of side effects and toxicity.
